Hello, I’m DOGO du Togo

Born in Lome, Togo,Dogo played in different bands in the Togolese capital before moving to the United States and founding the DC based Afropop/Afrofunk band Elikeh. Known for their high-energy live performances and original material, Elikeh has released 3 albums and an EP that received rave reviews by The Washington Post and National Public Radio.

Traditional Togolese rhythms form the base of rising Togolese artist Dogo’s remarkable music. A huge following in his home country of Togo, his popularity in the states grows day by day.

The songs are based on Togolese traditional rhythms with ritual melodies (voodoo melodies) and festive melodies (bobobo, Simpa) and are about immigration, social justice and personal experiences

Spending more time in his native country nowadays, Dogo released 3 singles as part of his first full album to be released in 2020. The songs topped many radio charts in Togo.

Dogo’s debut album was released in 2022 and received rave reviews from top critics in the US, Europe and Africa
